The resources of Liviero Plant (Pty) Ltd include a vast array of heavy plant and equipment suitable for almost any project.

Our plant holding is regarded as the largest in the country by a privately owned construction company. We are less reliant on external hire, ensuring that we maximise operational efficiencies and internal revenue creation.

Liviero Plant manages the Group assets through a network of mobile workshops. It is also a certified Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) with a mechanised workshop at the Kyalami premises.

Operator training is a key component of our business, ensuring that our operators are  safe, knowledgeable  and  operationally  proficient. In-house training is carried out   continuously in conjunction with our OEM’s.

Our fleet of heavy plant comprises largely of tried and tested world class brands including:

  • Hitachi

Our replacement policy ensures that our fleet remains modern and current for our clients’ ever changing needs.

Hendrik Strydom

Hendrik Strydom

Hendrik started his career in the Granite Industry, Open Cast Mining (Quarrying) and beneficiation, with Plant & Equipment an integral part of his working life from day one. During his 8-years in the field, he completed a Diploma and a B-Tech Degree in Cost and Management Accounting – as he felt it significantly augmented his plant financial management focus.

In 2003 Hendrik relocated to Johannesburg, for an initial 7-year stint in manufacturing, asset management and corporate finance, with the JSE listed Reunert Group.  During which he successfully qualified as an Executive Coach, vital learning for any person in a modern leadership position.  Thereafter, in 2010 he joined the Aveng Group in the Position of Plant Financial Manager with Grinaker-LTA. In this position his focus was on the design and implementation of standardised systems across a large multi-disciplinary fleet Plant and Equipment. 

In July 2012, Hendrik joined the Liviero Group as Plant Director, as his tenure in this role approaches 4-years his career which has largely focused on Plant and Equipment in the Mining, Construction and Manufacturing industries, approaches 22-years.
