The Learning Unit is pleased to announce that Liviero Building scooped the LEADING EMPLOYER OF THE
YEAR award at a CETA gala dinner held on the 20th October 2017. The award is given to innovative and
progressive employers within the Built environment. CETA used its Annual General Meeting (AGM) to award
stakeholders who have shown commitment, compliance and reliability towards learning pathways.
CETA awarded the following categories; Leading Employer, Best SMME, Best Co-operative initiative, Emerging
Joint Venture Creation, Leading Service provider and innovative Institution of higher learning.
Liviero Building was applauded for its commitment and dedication in the development of critical and scarce skills
within the built environment sector.
We were also applauded in our initiative to comply with Clause 13 (a), (b) and (e) of regulation 1127 of 8
September 1998, Regulation under the South African Qualification Authority Act, 1995, and per delegation of
quality functions conferred to the Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) by Quality Council for
Trades and Occupations (QCTO).
This compliance will allow us to offer training services internally and externally as defined by the Skills
Development Act 97 of 1998 and to provide learners with CETA-accredited training certificates thereafter.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all stakeholders who made this dream a reality. A superb effort.
